This show is a fusion of the X Factor and Pinoy Big Brother of ABS-CBN. In a sense, this is an original by GMA 7. The concept showed promise. But its ratings is not picking up. Why?
One, the show resorted to cheap verbal showdowns from mentors and Protégés alike.
Two, the inside story hosted by Jenelyn Mercado is not informative. Not even exciting. (And Jen's hand gesture is always the same. She should relax a bit to become engaging to her audience.)
The lapels and cameras should be used for something else, not similar to PBB. People are curious how the ordinary looking contestants were transformed into their celebrity looks. The trainings they went into, their views, their family's hopes. Something similar to The Inside Story with celebrity feel.
The audience would always look forward to something in which they learn something afterwards.
Sad to say, its too showbiz.
The people behind this show should learn something from Pepito Manoloto :)
