Value the Lives of Our Soldiers

The string of deaths in our government troops in Mindanao leaves every civilian asking why?

The Government has all the resources to protect our country from outlaws, lawless elements. And yet, this problem persisted.

For human rights advocates, while every life is undeniably equal with the other, whose life should we value more? Our soldiers whose lives are dedicated for our welfare? Or that of the outlaws, lawless people whose very presence blocks the development in Mindanao?

Why are there ceasefire agreement  and area of temporary stay (ATS) in the first place?

And why should the government bind itself in this kind of agreements, in effect acknowledging if not giving legal personality their lawlessness?

The government should protect its troops who safeguards its very existence.
